  1. You’re so awesome! I don’t believe I’ve read a single thing like that
before. So good to discover somebody with unique thoughts on this
topic. Seriously.. thank you for starting this
up. This website is something that’s needed on the web, someone
    with a little originality!

  2. Hello Soheil … i’m looking for tool(s) that documents a power bi report by ingesting powerbi report into Excel powerpivot / data model …
I’ve used such tool as early as 2016 i think that was developed by Meagan Longoria for “SSAS tabular models”… it created very cool documentation of the tabular model in a powerpivot based on the SSAS tabular model …
i’d like to create the same powerpivot / data model for a PBIX tabular model in place of a SSAS tabular model …
do you know if such documentation tool exists for PowerBI desktop or service?

    1. Hi Gary,

Have you tried Power BI Documenter that we built at Data Vizioner? It is a SaaS application consuming PBIT files. You can easily export PBIX to PBIT using Power BI Desktop and upload the PBIT to the documenter.
I suggest visiting our website https://datavizioner.com and watch the tutorial video to learn more about the tool.
One significant feature that we lately developed is the capability to export all used and unused fields across multiple Thin Reports and the underlying Dataset. This feature will be available by request. Read more about it here: https://www.datavizioner.com/blog/thin-report-support-released/

You can also book a call via our website if you to discuss more details.

      I hope that helps.
      Cheers,
      Soheil
